World Bank $750 Million Grant Facility for MSMEs Begins: In no distant time, Nigerians will start accessing the World Bank $750M Grant Facility for MSMEs across the 36 states and Abuja, this was made known by the S.A to the Minister of Finance on Media and Communications, Mr. Paul Ella Abechi
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, represented by her Senior Adviser, disclosed this during the 7th Community of Practice (CoP) made up of state Commissioners of Planning and Budgeting in Abuja.
Nigerians who want to expand their small and medium businesses now have the opportunity to apply for the World Bank’s $750million grant
This grant is for businesses largely affected by the covid-19 pandemic and needs funding for survival, Mrs. Ahmed states that, fiscal responsibility which will serve as a platform to access the loan and grant from the World Bank.

According to the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, “this year was so good that the World Bank said this group has done well and therefore we are going to give World Bank $750million grant in the form of concession loans and grant which will be available soon for the states to access”.
“We are in the process of going to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) to get the approval; the World Bank on its own has already approved this and others. So we hope that you will continue to implement your fiscal responsibility so that you will qualify for this facility as well as the grant”
During the Federal Executive meeting, President Buhari acknowledged the gesture done by the world bank and vowed to make the $750M implementation process seamless to benefit Nigerians
