N-power (NEXIT): Love conquers all, Sadiya’s Valentine Message: The Humanitarian Minister has preached the importance of love, peace, and togetherness in the midst of the recent violence in some part of the nation
In her Facebook page, the minister advice all Nigerians to be tolerant and peaceful, as love lover all wrong doings
“Today as we celebrate love on Valentine’s Day I want to quickly remind us that love conquers all no matter whether it is love for a child, parent, sibling, friend, or partner.
“As we celebrate the love I wish to call on my fellow Nigerians to toe the path of peace and love because we are stronger when we are united and together.
“I wish, therefore, to extend my heartfelt commiserations to all those who have been affected by clashes across the country most recently in Ibadan. Violence is not the answer but love can help avert disastrous clashes & the humanitarian tolls they leave in their wake.
“On Tuesday I participated in a virtual meeting with the British High Commissioner. Our interactions focused on areas of collaboration between #FMHDSD and the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office.
“I attended the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday alongside other cabinet-level colleagues. It was presided over by the President HE Muhammadu Buhari.
“A high point for me at FEC was my presentation on the National Policy on aging which I am delighted to announce received Federal Executive Council endorsement and approval.
“I am delighted because the approval provides policy direction on a key plank of our social inclusion strategy which is focused on providing social safety nets for the vulnerable.
“The main objective of the policy is to have a society where older persons are guaranteed security, independence, participation, comprehensive care, self-fulfillment, and dignity.
“I applaud HE the President for his leadership and look forward to ensuring that our elderly are well cared for. I also want to acknowledge The Coalition of Societies for the Rights of Older Persons in Nigeria (COSROPIN) for their support & kind words.
