Five Months Owed Stipends for over 14,200 Volunteers must be paid

Npower March 8 Protest: Sadiya To Bow To Pressure With 10 Facts: With the ongoing delays and massive login problem faced by Nexit volunteers in the CBN loan affiliate program of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Npower (Nexit) volunteers have decided to “wake the government up” via a peaceful demonstration on the 8 of March, 2021

The Npower 36 States Representative and Executive is inviting volunteers both far and near the Federal Capital Territory to immediately show interest in the slated massive demonstration in the said date

Npower Volunteers have perceived the promise made by the Humanitarian Minister, to Commence the Nexit CBN loan affiliate program, as a delay tactic, volunteers will be reminding the government of her promise via March 8, 2021

But the Federal Government through the office of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development has warned all volunteers to exercise patient

In her precise words last year “all exited beneficiaries are advised to exercise more patience and await the result of the efforts being made by the Honorable Minister who is currently engaging various MDAs including the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to ensure that the eligible exited beneficiaries are transited to government programs or even employment where available

More Patience are to be exercised to successfully deliver Volunteers into MDAs, Sadiya Umar Farouq blamed improper arrangement at the commencement of the programme to place exited volunteers after two years by the Ministry”

However, the same government has taken a step by launching a portal where exited volunteers will register for a CBN loan, but it is taking ages for registration and communication regarding the loan

Exit volunteers are kept in the dark with no communication, hence the protest

Volunteers in and around Abuja are encourage to join the peaceful protest

Volunteer Have Sought Police Permission

Police permission have been sought already, all necessary approvals have been done. Volunteers need not to be afraid, as law enforcement officers are solidly behind them

The Aim of the Protest is to beg the Government to Fulfils Her Promise

The aim of the protest is to plea with the Federal Government and the head of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, to fulfill their promise regarding the Nexit CBN loan Affiliate programs

The Federal Government through the Office of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development made a promise of inculcating a CBN loan programme, where disengaged volunteers will get the loan and start Small and Medium Term Related Businesses

 “A Portal that will enable Exited N-Power Beneficiaries to apply for Central Bank of Nigeria Empowerment Options has been launched by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development”

“The platform which was developed in collaboration with the CBN will enable Exited N-Power Beneficiaries to log on and apply for the various Economic, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship options provided by the CBN”

“The NEXIT portal is to determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs and is dependent on meeting the criteria and conditions set by the CBN for the said programs”

“The Minister also emphasized that the NEXIT PORTAL will determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs”

Plea for Five Months Owed Stipends for over 14,200 Volunteers to Be Paid

The Protest is also aimed at pleading with the authorities to pay all the 14,200 volunteers flagged by GIFMIS last year

Payments of over 14, 200 Unpaid Volunteers from the Month of March to July 2020 must begin immediately as all documents needed for this has been supplied by the volunteers last year

Uniforms and Identity Card Must be Displayed on the Day of Protest

Volunteers who wish to participate in the protest must have his/her Npower Crested Uniforms and Identity cards for easy identification

This is to ensure that hoodlums and oppositions don’t hijack the peaceful protest

Some Media Houses Have Been Contacted

The Npower 36 States will make use of Mainstream and Digital Media Houses to grace the peaceful demonstration for a wider coverage

Other things Volunteers Must know Are:

No weapon(s) is allowed in areas of protest

No destruction of public properties

No use of ill words or tantrums

Volunteers must come with Facemask

There shall be no fireworks

No meddling with opposition parties
