It is no longer news, 98% of Beneficiaries got their October and November stipends in the last week. These stipends were delayed due to handing over to a new ministry, headed by Sadiya Umar Faroug.
At a time when the program is gaining the ground all over, the new ministry felt, put things in the right order, should come first, hence the delay. The minister expresses her sadness on the matter.
In her right words, she said, with utmost sympathy, we sincerely regret any inconveniences melted on beneficiaries of this life changing program, we know many of you solely depend on this stipend for a living. But we need proper and orderly data management for smooth running of the program
If you could recall, the National Social Investment programme (NSIP) had no ministry, No proper dealings and coordination with Federal Government, Inter Bank Settlement System, Federal Ministry of Finance and the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
With then taking over by the new ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, most of these challenges are now things of the past, as proper grounds on the move.
National Social Investment programme (NSIP)-Africa’s Largest
National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) is the biggest and largest in the black continent, the new minster assured that, accountability and transparency will be used to run the program.
The program has a numerical strength close to 500,000 volunteers, helping the nation to pursue her dream of becoming a power to reckon with among the committee of nations, she twitted.
In a related development, she argued that, more structural organization and reform need to be in place for a rapid response. But declined by the special adviser on Social Investment, insisting that the program is already reformed
New Registration for Batch C
The Program will increase her numerical strength by another 300,000 come 2020 according to the Special Adviser to the President on Social Investment, Mariam Uwais. But the first batch must be transitioned to higher level.
Apparently, there are only two batches of N-power, 2016 and 2017 sets. The 2016 batch is due for what is now known as ‘TRANSITION’. When this happen, a new fresh set, that will make batch C, will come in
However, as we speak, the portal for new registration is not available to the public. We will communicate the latest detail when occasion demand for it.
Transition ICON on point-watch out
Batch A is on the mission of been transitioned, to this end, an ICON demanding beneficiaries to choose various programs designed for them is on displace.
In her words, no beneficiary will loom the street in search of job, as government had strategies a glorious exit package.
All beneficiaries would be transitioned gloriously, they will be provided with loans facilities, where they will be activity engaged, and thus creating more jobs for the unemployed.
All beneficiaries concern should watch out for the Icon on their NPVN portal, fill the best options that suit them. At the end of time, more revelation on the next move will be communicated
Batch A October Stipends- No Need to Panic. According to the new minister, volunteers need not to be scared of the payment delay. All payment including October 2019 stipends will be made on or before 20th of December 2019.
