N-power 2016 Exit Package: Uwais, Afolabi , Farouq-Set Agenda for Glorious Exit

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development- Sadiya Umar Farouq

It is no longer news, the Federal government plans, to lay-off the first batch of the N-power program, in a glorious ways according to Sadiya Farouq, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development revealed.

The N-Power is the job creation and economic empowerment component of the NSIP, for young unemployed Nigerians; it has a network of over 500,000 thousands volunteers, in different segment.

The first batch of 2016, is made up of A-set of 200,000 beneficiaries, who have spent more the agreed contract date of 2 years.  Batch A is counted lucky, because their exit package is underway.

No beneficiaries of the N-power programme will go back to the street, begging to be employed, never in her words. All volunteers shall be accorded with a good exit package, in line with president Buhari set agenda of bringing out 100 million Nigerians Out of extreme poverty in 10 years’ time.

In a press briefing in response to non-payment of stipends to n-power beneficiaries for the months of October and November, the minster, Sadiya Farouq, dose tensions, as she made the way very clear to all beneficiaries.

In her words, Uwais disclosed that, a transition option is already on, all the first 200,000 set, are to select their preferred choice in the list of entrepreneurship skills made available.

She stresses the need of NSIP collaboration with states government and private sector participation, to contain the large numbers of beneficiaries.   In her words, we are partnering all the states government to employ N-power volunteers.

The private sector participation will see some beneficiaries who are very much interested acquiring more skills, get engaged.

She also disclosed that, a new batch of 300,000 fresh beneficiaries would come on board come 2020. That is, when batch might have been settled.

There will be no need for further restructuring of SNIP, she added, dismissing claims made by Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

Special Adviser on Job Creation –Mr. Afolabi

Mr Afolabi, in a live chart, reassured all beneficiaries of a good exit plan, no volunteer will roam the street, looking for job. He advised recipient of the programme to remain calm, as government is making good plans ahead

In his words, he warned politicians, not to take volunteers for a ride, as the consequences may be head to quench.

Reappointed for the second time in office, the fearless gentle man promised not to let down beneficiaries, as plans are underway to reoccupy them, after exit.

Apparently, Batch A would still earn as they work, while modalities are worked out, even at the expiration of the two years contract agreed, he added.

Exit Time for Batch A

From all indications, Batch A has a limited time to spend in the programme. A transition page is already on display at their portal page, each beneficiary is to login and select their options.

Though the transition icon is down, repair is ongoing, always check to register your interest, if you were to exit with your set.

After this stage, the exit package will be made visible and known to all, volunteers are to remain focus in their PPA.

All Batch A are to get ready for this great event, the exit package might not favor all, some will go home with little, others will make the community policing plan.
