NJFP Begins Matching 20,000 Fellows 2023 | How to Check Your Host Organization

NJFP has released a comprehensive list of 20,000 successfully shortlisted fellows, to this end, applicants who applied for the NJFP are to waste no time in checking their shortlisting status and proceed to the next round of the recruitment

The full list of 20,000 shortlisted fellows is out, the Full list of 20,000 Fellows is attached with the location

However, the process of matching 20,000 has begun, this will ensure that fellows are placed and matched with good and decent hosts organization, where they will spend a year and acquire skills

Fellows are to exercise some patience while the matching starts, this may run into 2023 as hosts organizations are very limited

Meanwhile, the process of filtering through the 20,000 applications was undertaken independently by Jobberman and included the following processes:

1. Review of the applications, including verification of documents and a long listing of applicants to generate the long list of those that met the minimum requirements.

2. Administering of key assessments: A total of 118,600 met the minimum requirements including meeting all the submission instructions.

The assessments included:

Cognitive Tests are administered to test candidates’ quantitative and verbal reasoning. Only 89,000 took the cognitive assessments.

Soft skills assessments and training to gauge candidates’ soft skills level and up-skill them with the same

3. Ranking: Based on performance, candidates were ranked into 4 categories:

Beginner

Intermediate

Experienced and

Proficient

The best performing 20,000 applicants were selected across the 4 categories giving consideration to gender parity national spread. 10,000 males and 10,000 females were selected across 36 states and FCT.

To be an eligible fellow for the NJFP, you must

Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) OR have a certificate of exemption from the NYSC.

Demonstrate interest/commitment in your chosen career field.

Demonstrate interest/commitment to contributing to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

Have excellent time management and a professional attitude.

Have good verbal and written communication skills.

Must be a Nigerian citizen.

Be a fresh graduate (Bachelor’s Degree or HND Certificate) from any discipline and graduated not earlier than 2017.

Graduate with at least a Second Class Lower (2.2) for Bachelor’s Degree or Upper Credit (> 3.00) for HND Certificate holders.

Be at most 30 years old.

Not currently engaged in any employment.

To be an eligible host organization, you must

Agreement to abide by the program’s guidelines and to sign a code of conduct.

Have non-discrimination policies on gender, ethnicity, religion, and disability status, as well as policies against sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse (PSHEA).

Have no criminal records, conviction, or affiliation with proscribed organizations ie, terrorists, drug traffickers, illicit trade, or child labor.

Provision of up-to-date regulatory documentation including –

CAC Certificate of Registration

Provision of the official letter of interest detailing a clear understanding of the objectives of the NJFP and commitment to supporting the program by accepting fellow placements.

Provision of explicit descriptions of available role requirements.

Agreement to provide mentorship support to fellows through dedicated sessions with existing experienced professionals within their organizations.
