The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has already commenced payment of N60,000 each to all the volunteers of the 774000 FG jobs, Festus Kenyamo, the Hon Minister of State for Labour and Productivity has given the go-ahead order for rigorous scrutiny of the accounts of the participants before payments.
The Federal Government is pleased to announce the payment of all the participants of the 774000 jobs, 1000 per local government areas of the country
Here is Festus Kenyamo, the Hon Minister of State for Labour and Productivity precise words regarding this matter
“After the release of some of the funds by the Ministry of Finance for the payment of SPW stipends, I directed a rigorous scrutiny of the accounts of the participants before payments”.
“So far, only ACCESS Bank has responded with accounts verified for payments and the NDE has today commenced payments of those accounts with ACCESS Bank.
The Hon Minister also added that the ministry is waiting for other banks to finish there verification process before payments will be made.
“We await the responses of ZENITH, UBA, FCMB, FIDELITY, HERITAGE & Yobe Micro-Finance Banks to clean up the anomalies.
“Our determination to ensure those selected for this programme get paid to assist them in these tough times is also matched by our determination to ensure that the SPW 774000 JOBS (programme) does not spiral into a vehicle for fraud; not under the watch of Mr. President; not under my watch”
