Unpaid Stipends: We are Resolving the Issue with the Accountant General: The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs admitted owing 12,000 volunteers for the months of March, April, and May.

Once she gets this report, it will be made available to everyone, and the necessary action would be taken
Sadiya Umar also blamed the GIFMIS platform used for payment as one of the sets back in payment related issues
But promised updating and upgrading the platform for smooth and effective future operation

We have 500 thousand Npower Volunteers. But those who are claiming that they have not been paid, we are looking into this issue together with the Office of Accountant General of The Federation.
I mentioned on this platform that, we have issues around updating from the platform that we operate with.
So, there are the administrative processes that brought up these volunteers, that are claiming that they have not been paid.
They are about 12k of them, based on our records. As I am speaking to you, my permanent secretary is in the office of Accountant General of the Federation. Once we get this report, we will make it available to everyone. Thank you very much”
There are many more volunteers that have not been paid their three months earned allowance, yet the programme will be exiting 500,000 volunteers on or before July 31
Unpaid volunteers have expressed concerns and worries over this, the relevant authorities have been notified for long, to no avail
Volunteers held massive protest over this issue, but fell on deaf ears
