Unpaid Backlog: Sadiya Under Fire As Volunteers Storm Twitter Page: The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development and the head of the Npower programme, Madam Umar Sadiya is under fire as online protesters storm the official page of the ministry demanding pay of the 5 months stipends owed them
The minister was in Kogi State, where cash grant of N20,000 were given to 3000 women in the state. Volunteers of the npower programme, who were disengaged last year with pay, stormed the official Facebook page and cry for 5 months old stipend
Madam Umar Sadiya has promised to pay all owed volunteers with legitimate claim after verifying their bank statements. Till now, no payment has been made, more than 14, 000 volunteers were affected
While some volunteers were accusing the minister of fraud and theft, others were hauling tantrums and faulting her leadership failures on the poor masses
