The University of Kent New Generation Research Scholarship 2022 prides itself in Quality Research, Training, and Equipping students with the latest and modern research
Scholarship Criteria:
There are a total of three scholarships available for the UK or International applicants.
The scholarships can be taken full-time or part-time but must start their Ph.D. in September 2022.
One of the three scholarships will be reserved specifically for UK applicants of Black or mixed-Black heritage. Fully Funded – UK Government GREAT Scholarships 2022

In order to receive this scholarship funding, you must have qualifications/experience equal to the standard of a good honors degree at a first or upper second class level from a UK academic research organization or an equivalent qualification from outside the UK.
A combination of qualifications and/or experience that is equivalent to a relevant UK degree may also be accepted.
The scholarship is awarded to all subjects covered within the School of Social Policy, Sociology, and Social Research including:
Philanthropic Studies
Migration Studies
Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
Social Policy
Sociology
Criminology
Social Work
Applied Health Research
Scholarship Benefits
Both Domestic and International students will enjoy National Minimum Doctoral Stipend of £15,285 tuition fees
Access further research funding.
The students awarded the scholarship are expected to teach as assistant lecturers during the period of their doctorate. We expect this to be equivalent to 3 seminar groups per term.

How to Apply for University of Kent New Generation Research Scholarship 2022
Contact a potential supervisor within SSPSSR with a proposal and get a confirmation that they are willing to supervise your project. You are expected to receive help with the application.
Submit an online application to study for a Ph.D. in the School of Social Policy, Sociology, and Social Research. Please note that we require applicants to submit all supporting documents, including transcripts, the research proposal, and references) by the Scholarship deadline
Complete the New Generation Scholarship Application Form and email it to lssjpgfunding@kent.ac.uk by the Scholarship closing date. Please title your email ‘New Generation Researcher SSPSSR’
Candidates who have applied for the SeNSS, CSC, or other scholarships linked to SSPSSR/Kent are encouraged to apply for this scholarship as well.
(note: interviews with short-listed candidates are likely to take place on the 7th and 8th of April)
