Sustainable Youth MSMEs through Urban Farming (SYMUF) 2023: We are glad to inform you that, the African Development Bank has started the Sustainable Youth MSMEs through Urban Farming program for 2023
This program is a multinational project to create jobs and improve livelihoods for youth in three African countries. (Nigeria, Uganda and Congo (DRC)
“The program is designed to empower youth at every stage of the agribusiness value chain as ‘agrientrepreneurs’ by harnessing new skills , technologies and financial approaches
SYMUF project would help young African “agri-entrepreneurs” overcome the challenges of managing and incubating new businesses.
This project will target unemployed youth and those in the early start-up stage who have not gained ground due to their limited skills and financial resources”
SYMUF is aimed at supporting young farmers with funds, who are attracted to urban farming, the program has received $937,000 in grant funding from African Private Sector Assistance, a multi-donor trust fund managed by the African Development Bank
