Npower Stipends: More Delay as Sadiya Fails to Address Disengaged Volunteers: There is likely more delay in paying disengaged volunteers their months of owed stipends as Umar Sadiya refused to address the matter yesterday

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development appeared before the media to give update of the numbers of applications recievd as Batch C registration comes to an end

“No fewer than five million candidates have applied for the N-Power programme”-Sadiya Umar

The Minister, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday by her Special Assistant on Strategic Communication, Mrs Halima Oyelade.

in a sane clime, the manager of the programme would have issued official notice as to the delay of the stipends but failed to do so

Disengaged volunteers are hoping to get their march to july stipends, but all plea fall on deaf hears, the Federal Government has not inter-vain in the matter

Lately, the Osun state disengaged volunteers were begged to resume schools and prepare outgoing classes, but the financial implication was not stated

Apparently, volunteers who are disengaged are pleading with the authorities to reverse the plan and pay all outstanding stipends, as the covid-19 pandemic ravage unemployed volunteers
