N-power volunteers in her few numerical strength went in mass to the National Assembly Complex in demand for Permanency, a move that triggered swift response from the Senate President himself.

The protest was successful because, it drew the attention of the Senate president and many senators

The quest for permanency has been on for long, a bill sponsored by Bauchi South Senator is yet to been given the desired attention, hence volunteers took to the senate directly
The Federal Government via Umar Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development had already disengaged Batch A and B volunteers, calling it a proactive move
The Senate President, who was not privileged to have further discussion due to busy schedule, pleaded for more time to personally yield into the grievances of Volunteers Next week
“We are aware of your plight and as a nation, we must address urgently without delay, I have set a date for formal hearing of this matter next week” Ahmed Lawan- Senate President (Nigeria 9th Assembly)
We will grant full audience into the this matter next week, preferable Thursday, the 23rd, July 2020-Lawan
FCT N-power Volunteers were advised to turn-up in mass to grace this accession, as this is the first time, a high-profile individual will seat with volunteers and discuss her plight
Finally, Senate President Ahmed Lawan will meet with N-power volunteers next week Thursday 23/07/2020.
Npower beneficiaries in FCT protested. Fortunately for them, they met the Senate President who ask them to come back next week Thursday for negotiation.
Volunteers will negotiate and the negotiation will be Permanency only!
