Nigerian Army DSSC Final List of Candidates for Training 2024: The Nigerian Army is glad to inform applicants for the Direct Short Service Commission Course 28 that, the Shortlisted Candidates for training can now be accessed online
If you are among those who participated in the 11 March 2024 screening in Oyo state, southwest Nigeria, quickly check your shortlisting status and proceed to the next stage of the recruitment
Successfully shortlisted candidates were shortlisted based on merit and Federal Character, all states and Abuja were given the same slot, representing, equity, transparency, and fairness in the nation’s armed force
Candidates must be ready to spend 6 months in the training camp and must adhere to all cap rules and regulations, failure to do so may lead to disqualification
Candidates who fail to turn up for training will be disqualified and replaced, and his/her journey has come to an end as far as the 2024 DSSC is concerned
More so, the Selection Exercise before training will involve physical, medical, and academic tests as well as an oral interview for all candidates.
2024 DSSC Requirements for Training
Candidates are to come along with the following items:
a. Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
b. Three (3) pairs of plain white shirt sleeve vests.
c. Three (3) pairs of navy blue shorts.
d. Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
e. Toiletries.
f. A set of cutlery including plates and drinking cups.
g. Beddings; to include, blankets, bedspreads and pillow cases etc.
h. Four (4) copies of full-size colored photographs at standing position in a suit.
2024 DSSC Academic Requirements for Training
Candidates will be required to produce original and duplicate copies of the following:
a. All academic/professional certificates including testimonials, NYSC discharge, or valid Exemption Certificate as Applicable in a file jacket
b. Certificate of ordination for candidates seeking Chaplain (Protestant/Roman Catholic).
c. Certificate of Call to Bar for candidates seeking Directorate of Legal Services.
d. Valid birth certificate as e
Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, and Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.
e. Valid certificate of state of origin.
f. Military Identity Card (military personnel only).
g. Letter of recommendation by Commanding Officers/Commanders (military personnel only).
h. Letter of sponsorship in a tertiary academic institution (military personnel only).
i. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank as well as NIN enrolment slip.
j. Completed copies of printouts from the DSSC portal including referee forms.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Candidate are to report to NDA, Afaka, Kaduna with the following:
a. Original credentials including online printout showing
his/her passport photograph(s).
b. Four copies of 5 x 7 coloured photographs in suit and in full
standing position without cap/hat.
c. Two pairs each of unmarked white round neck vests and
navy blue shorts (without stripes).
d. Two pairs of pure white canvas/trainers (rubber type NOT
acceptable).
e. Two pairs each of unmarked maroon round neck vests and
navy blue track suits (without stripes).
f. Two white shirts, one blue shirt, a black tie and a black belt.
g. Four pairs of white socks and 2 pairs of black socks.
h. Two pairs of national dress or suit and casual wears.
i. One wrist watch.
j. A pair of black laced shoes.
k. Swimming trunk.
l. Two white bed sheets and pillow cases.
m. One blanket (grey or army green colour).
n. Two sets of cutlery.
o. Pressing iron.
p. Toiletries.
- Female candidates should come along with the following items in addition:
a. One pair of black low heel cover shoe.
b. Two black lounge suits.
c. A pair of trouser suit.
d. Two black shorts (tights). - Serving military personnel are to come along with release letters and passes from their commanders/commanding officers from their commanders/commanding officers.
- Successful candidates who fail to report on the aforementioned date will forfeit their vacancies to candidates on reserve.
- Reserve candidates are not to report to NDA but will be contacted in the
event vacancies arise. - There will be no vacancy for Reserve candidates after 31
May 2024.
NOTE:
Due to the military nature of the Exercise, the Nigerian Army shall not be liable for any injuries/deaths recorded in the course of Training
Candidates are to note that any alteration to their documents will render such documents invalid.
Candidates will be fed and accommodated throughout the Selection Board.
Candidates will be responsible for their transportation to and from the Selection Board.
The use of personal/private vehicles by candidates is strictly prohibited throughout the Selection Board.
Visitors will not be allowed throughout the Selection Board.
A high standard of discipline is expected from all candidates.
Candidates who violate any instruction during the Selection Board will be disqualified.
