N-power March Stipends: Payment starts before Easter-Minister
The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajia Sadiya Farouq has come out to addressed the delay in March stipends
The delay in stipends payment is not limited to Npower volunteers alone, the corps member of the NYSC programme are yet to be credited
We are addressing the covid-19 outbreak pandemic first, by paying 20,000 Naira each to the vulnerable and poorest in the society
The Minister who spoke during cash disbursement to the vulnerable in Abuja disclosed that, payment of Salaries and Stipends of Npower volunteers, NYSC and High institutions nationwide will come before the Easter holiday . see http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-stipends-salaries-stipends-must-be-paid-on-time-buhari-declares
Meaning, beneficiaries would be credited from before Friday 10th of April, 2020
Meanwhile, there is pandemonium among all beneficiaries of the npower programme as constant delay of stipends hits the month of March. Beneficiaries have raised their voice once more as March stipends is still not paid.
As the covid-19 pandemic spread across the world, including Nigeria, the Federal and some states government have locked down many states including the FCT, with many having little in their kitchen as hunger
Many beneficiaries have rolled up the call for the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Sadiya Farouq to step aside if she cannot pay volunteers stipends as at when due
Beneficiaries have expressed their disappointment countless number of times, chanting total failure of Hajia Sadiya Farouq, as incompetent and incapable of handling the new ministry. seehttp://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-slight-delays-will-be-experienced-as-payments-start-before-easter
Failed Protest Action Would Have Addressed Delayed Stipends
In the wee months of the 2020, there were proposed massive protest and strike action, barely 12 hours to the proposed Strike and protest action against the inhumane treatment given to the Npower beneficiaries, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq finally made beneficiaries to forget their long term goals and aspiration by swiftly paying the long awaited January’s stipends
By this singular action, many beneficiaries were tricked to be satisfied with this short term solution. Forgetting that, the same problem will still raise its ugly head in no distant time.
Apparently, the proposed Strike and protest action is not just for Stipends payment but for wide verities of issues facing the programme as a whole. It could be recalled that, Batch A is been threatened with Exit, without a meaning and comprehensive plan following dismissal.
It was gathered that, the proposed Strike and protest action brought in a lot of fears, shock and panic in the side of the NSIP officials Including the Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. If volunteers of the Npower programme had embarked on the Massive protest and Industrial action, the issues of good exit package, timely payment of stipends, devices would have been addressed by the concerned authorities.

#Recording the dividend of PBM towards NPOWER to Nigerian youth is beyoug expectation. Many populace further their Education, some got married others established a small business. Meanwhile, the acute help reducing abject poverty, unemployment and political thuggery etc in our dear country. So, I advocate the federal government for permanency. But it’s only the diabolic and Archenemy person that will urge for exiting them.Candid speaking, it will deteriorate the country to another situation.
