N-power Batch C: Hybrid System to Fish-Out Civil Servants/Ex-volunteers : The Npower batch C will soon be onboard into NPVN Portal any moment from now; applicants seeking enrollment into batch C should be ready for a screening test, if called to do so.
Already, plans to release the long awaited list of successful applicants are on high gear, a careful and more robust strategies is in place to checkmate civil servants and exited volunteers from participating in batch C
“Sadiya Umar, the Honourable Minister added that the incoming Batch C beneficiaries will clearly know the details of their terms of enrollment and exit at the time of entry into the programme to avoid what happened in the case of Batches A & B.
The Honourable Minister concluded that the candidates seeking enrollment into batch C will be scrutinized and selected on merit, a hybrid computer system will fish out civil servants and those who had already benefited from the Npower programme
The GIFMIS platform will reject any applicant who is already on FG payroll as currently witnessed by over 14,000 batch A and B volunteers not paid for five months
Furthermore, adequate plan will be made well ahead of their time of exiting the program to avoid what happened presently.
“The ministry will follow a transparent process for selecting the qualified beneficiaries out of the 5,000,000 (five million) who applied”.
“The N-power programme is designed to assist young Nigerians between the ages of 18 to 35 to acquire and develop life-long skills for becoming change makers in their communities and players in the domestic and global markets and given a stipend of N30, 000 monthly”
FG Approves Special Salary for Teachers, Increases Service Year to 40
The Federal Government on Monday, made a remarkable surprise to Nigeria Teachers by approving “special Salary” to the profession
This came as a surprise when the world is marking world Teachers Day on October 5th
This Special Salary has not been detailed for all to understand and no one knows the time, the money will be paid to teachers
Not just that, the president also increased the service year from 35 to 45 years, making it one of the longest serving institution in the country
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a special salary scale for teachers across the country.
The approval coincided with commemoration of the World Teachers Day on October 5.
He also increased the number of years of service from 35 to 40.
Buhari stated these in Abuja on Monday during celebration of the 2020 World Teachers Day.
Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who represented Buhari, said the new salary scheme is to motivate teachers for greater productivity and effectiveness”-the Nation Newspaper reported
FG Approves N10B for 2020 Census Exercise
The Federal Government has approved the sum of N10 billion to the National Population Commission (NPC) to conduct the 2021 Census exercise
The nation has not updated her census details after 2006 exercise, which put the population at 120,000,000 persons
By 2021, Nigeria is set to hold another round of census, to give the government, proper plan for the nation
“President Muhammadu Buhari has approved release of N10 billion to the National Population Commission (NPC) for continuation of the Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) in the remaining 546 Local Government Area of the country.
Buhari also approved an additional N4.5 billon to be included in the 2021 Budget for completion of the exercise as part of the preparations for the next census”
“Acting Chairman of NPC, Dr. Eyitayo Oyetunji, disclosed these in Abuja while briefing reporters on the release of the funds and the update on the EAD at the NPC headquarters”.
