N-power 9 Months Stipend: PDF List of Shortlisted Beneficiaries to Be Paid; N-power beneficiaries can now check their shortlisting status to be qualified for the 9 months outstanding stipend owed; this is according to the Humanitarian Minister
Only beneficiaries whose name appeared on the shortlisted list will be paid his/her 9months stipend, the Humanitarian minister added. The ministry has finalized its reports and findings in the ongoing investigation and thus; only 400,000 beneficiaries from batch C stream 2 will be paid
However, eligible beneficiaries of batch C stream 1 whom were not paid for some months will be settled accordingly
More so, beneficiaries of batch c stream 1 not paid for the last three months, and has legitimate claim will be settled, Npower is currently being rebranded and only verified beneficiaries of batch c will receive payment – Finance Minister
Edun also spoke on the review carried out by a special presidential panel on the National Social Investment Program (NSIP), which has submitted a preliminary report to the president.
On various social investment programs, the minister said what was done was “a review of existing mechanisms, a review of existing programs, and where there have been successes, such as the 400,000 beneficiaries of the GEEP/NSIP program, and so on and so forth”.
The Finance minister is the head of the presidential panel investigating the alleged misappropriation of funds by the ministry of humanitarian Affairs, he hinted that, payment to 400,000 NSIP beneficiaries will continue in the incoming days
The list containing beneficiaries due for payment is now available for checking, this is according to the npower program coordinator on X formally twitter, he disclosed that, all irregularities in the program is being resolved and payment will begin in no distant time
“These irregularities have made the common man to lose faith in the ability of Government to provide social safety cover for its population but Dr Betta Edu is engaging all necessary steps to resolve these issues and deliver the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Nigerians”
“Many irregularities which hitherto had sabotaged the smooth implementation of the Program are being addressed. It would be recalled that on assumption of duty it was noted that many beneficiaries did not receive payment for their monthly allowances while monies were been held up by the consultant managing the enrollment and payment system whose contract had long expired. The good news is that the money have been recovered and it would allow for payment of beneficiaries”
