First-time postgraduate students who could not are to write their previous exam due to load shedding, illness, traveling appointments, and many other reasons can apply for UNISA AEGROTAT Examination

Visit myUnisa and go to MyAdmin.

Select the examination timetable on Assessment Admin.

Click on Display to view your Oct/Nov timetable.

Click on “Apply for” and enter the details required. You are required to attach supporting documentation; an affidavit may suffice.

Postgraduate students have 10 days from the date of the examination to apply for an aegrotat.

Please note

Postgraduate students who have started an MCQ examination and experienced load shedding during their MCQ assessment may apply for an aegrotat by sending your application to aegrotats@unisa.ac.za.

All other postgraduate students are advised to follow the above-mentioned process.

In addition, in accordance with policy, Unisa does not grant third opportunities to students to rewrite their missed examinations.

Also note modules with portfolio (evidence-based) assessment, continuous assessment, practical assessment, experiential assessment, or require research reports, do not have a second examination opportunity.

Such students are advised to refer to their tutorial letters for more information.
