Link to Apply for Africa Matter Ambassador Program (AMAP) 2023: The Africa Matters Initiative (AMI) is a youth-led organization that aims to empower and upskill young Africans in order to change their communities & the African narrative through leadership, social entrepreneurship, and advocacy.
The Africa Matter Ambassador Program (AMAP) tries to break the programmed curse affecting the future of Africa.
AMAP is a one-year virtual African leadership development program that provides successful applicants with skills development, cross-continental networks, mentorship from industry leaders, and the implementation of community engagement projects.
At the end of the program, AMAP Ambassadors emerge with a strong network of young African leaders, mentors, a certificate of participation, and newly acquired skills.
Application Deadline
Applications open on 10th October 2022 at 12 pm CAT
It closes on 6th November 2022 at 11:59 pm CAT.
Africa Matter Ambassador Program (AMAP) Eligible Countries
For the 2023 Applicants, 20 young African persons between the ages 17-29 will form part of this program from the following countries: Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Uganda, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Egypt, Tanzania, Kenya, Algeria, and South Africa.
Kindly note that the application has five sections (A) Qualification Questions (B) Personal Details (C) Written Component (D) Video Submission and Assessment (E) General Questions.
Section A – This section includes questions to confirm eligibility for the AMAP Program
Section B – The questions in this section focus on general information about yourself, such as demographics, language and educational background.
Section C – This section focuses on short paragraph-style questions to better understand why you want to be part of the 2023 AMAP cohort, as well as detailing some of your experiences as a leader and community worker.
Section D – This section requires you to make a short video briefly explaining how the program will be beneficial to you and your community.
Section E – This final section focuses on some general questions regarding scheduling and confirming clarity on the program.
