How Disengaged Volunteers were Deceived with Transition to Avoid Revolt: She does not want mass revolt and youth restiveness. Hence, come out with the deception of TRANSITING volunteers into various opportunities

Batch A and B of the N-power programme who have spent 24 months and 40 months respectively are now fully retired and disengaged with a promised of being transitioned.

Since then, Sadiya Umar Farouq Never cleared the air over her “transition plans”

In a virtual meeting of the Federal Executive Council, she promised to deliver a successful transition as collaboration with the private sector is ongoing

According to Sadiya “My team and I continue to interface with stakeholders to ensure a successful transition for Npower volunteers”, till now, nothing have been heard towards actualizing successful transition for Npower disengaged volunteers

Words of the Sadiya Umar Farouq on Transition

“We have commenced the transitioning of beneficiaries from Batches A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities

By transition assessment, the minister meant, a test to see the eloquence, fitness, and intelligence of volunteers into various platforms the government will make available very soon

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has commenced the transitioning of volunteers of Batch A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the volunteers after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities”

As we speak, July had past with 14 days, no transition programme on site, no talks or signs of being engaged with any public or private firms

Volunteers have been deceived to accept total retirement and disengagement in a programme the government promised to permanent them during the 2019 presidential election

Though it is too early to conclude on that, but no one is coming out to tell volunteers of the position of Government regarding disengaged volunteers

Her shared message with Batch A and Batch B Beneficiaries

“The transitioning and exit of Batch A and B is not a punitive action. It is a proactive intervention to help up skill your brothers and sisters and assist them further along on their journey through life.

She thanks the beneficiaries and states that they have been worthy ambassadors of the N-Power programme in their respective Places of Primary Assignments – Primary Healthcare centres, Previously unmanned classrooms”

Batch A of the npower programme will receive their last stipends from the government in the month of August. Batch A & B are now fully retired

Both batches would proceed into psychometric assessment examination to test their eloquence and competence into various opportunities

The Minister has called for calm among existing beneficiaries as all will be transitioned for the good of the nation
