Hope Rekindled as Batch A Exit into permanency is Assured-Sadiya Umar

Hope Rekindled as Batch A Exit into permanency is Assured-Sadiya Umar: Shortly after Umar Sadiyat was described as incompetent (woeful and disastrous failure) by Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadiya_Umar_Farouq

According to WIKIPEDIA,” her total incompetence and ineptitude in the Npower programme can be proven in several ways. Also see http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-permanency-movedrop-your-signature-as-bill-goes-next-reading

Her failures include;

  • Non payments of volunteers stipends as at when due,
  • Failed communication to volunteers and embezzlement of public funds.
  • As at 15th of April 2020, Sadiya was yet to pay the beneficiaries’ stipends of the month of March, 2020 when the world is witnessing a full blown Pandemic of the Corona Virus outbreak”- An outrage accountable leaders and governments would have queried. The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq has stepped up her game in full gear to redeem her battered image

In an interview with members of the Press on NTA, Monday, 20th of April, 2020, the Minister is said to be working on modalities on how to exit batch A that are already due, into what they can fall back to

She also expressed the real problem behind payment delay, as there are many procedures that can never be avoided, but must be monitored strictly, before stipends would be paid. see http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-see-the-senator-that-spoke-on-npower-permanency-bill

Verification processes in the ministry caused delays, citing plenty of verification procedures that must be followed before payment are triggered

The exit of Batch A into a permanent job is our next plan and must be achieved as from the Month of June

In her correct word “stipend will still be delayed because it has procedures that can never be avoided and we are working on modalities how to exit them into what they can fall back to, to permanent them from now to June.”

“We don’t know how long the covid-19 will last, but what we do know is that, after the pandemic, the exit of Batch A into a permanent job is our next plan and must be achieved as from the Month of June”, the Minister responded to a question raised by journalist, if the covid-19 pandemic and the stay-at-home order will affect this plan

All measures MUST be adhered to before payment is made, which might intrude into the next month, thereby delaying payment, this is a situation I can’t help but monitored strictly.

This means that, beneficiaries should not be expectant at month end, rather wait till the middle of the previous month, before getting the earned stipend of the past month

Seemingly, she also said, some beneficiaries have not received their March stipend, let it not troubles your heart, we are aware of that, kindly be patient as the ministry is currently working on it- the minister added. Beneficiaries of the programme must now know the reasons behind stipends delay; beneficiaries should expect delay in payment every month. It is not a norm but the processes are just too cumbersome- NTA reporter rap-up the report

This is very good and welcome development for 2016 beneficiaries from our minister to work on many modalities to permanent the beneficiaries after proper verification.
The verification will make way for the ministry to ensure proper accountability and transparency easier in discharging duties effectively.
