FG To Enroll 300,000 Applicants, CBN To Give Loan-Sadiya Raises Hope (Confirm If You Are Among the 300,000)

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Farouk disclosed that about 300,000 Batch A and B volunteers of the Npower program will be processed for the CBN massive loan disbursement program, the largest in Africa

According to Umar Sadiya, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will give loans to trained applicants, she vividly cleared the air on the number to be engaged
1) 300,000 out of 500,000 Npower exited volunteers have expressed interest in the NEXIT program, 200,000 will be placed as SANEF agent
2) Npower Batches A and B exited volunteers will be trained on different skills of their choice
3) Loans will be given to Npower Batches A and B volunteers at the end of the training, loans will be disbursed by the Central Bank of Nigeria at the end of the quarter (which is around March)
4) 109,000 exited Npower Batches A and B volunteers have become entrepreneurs- See proof here
5) Npower Batch A benefited from the Npower program for about three to four years, while Npower Batch B benefitted for two years.

“Farouk affirmed the Federal Government’s plan to enroll about 300,000 applicants into a training program, while the Central Bank of Nigeria would give them loans”

She said this to State House correspondents on Thursday during the weekly ministerial media briefing organized by the Presidential Communications Team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

In no distant time, there will be massive training of about 300,000 volunteers, and after the training, Batch A and B volunteers will have the option to choose their loan option as done with the NYIF, Covid-19 loan, and other FG Loan programs

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs also shed more light on the FG Conditional Cash Program, according to her, poor and vulnerable Nigerians have benefited from the FG N5,000 RRR project, thus eliminating poverty from the poorest of the poor

“If you look at the people that you are taking this intervention to, N5,000 means a lot to them, because these are poor and vulnerable households, and it changes their status; but for you and me, N5,000 is not even enough for us to buy recharge card; that’s the difference.

“But for these poor people in the communities, they were able to save out of that N5,000; if it’s not making any impact, if it’s not changing their economic status, I don’t think anybody will force them to contribute that N1,000 to provide that vehicle for their use. So, N5,000 goes a long way.

“When people say N5,000 does not save people, that is an elitist statement, because we’ve had causes to go to the field and we have seen these people that when you give them this N5,000, they cried and shed tears because they’ve never seen N5,000 in their lives. So, it goes a long way, it changes their status, and by that, it lifts them from one stage to another.”-Sadiya 2022
