Apparently, the educational structures owned by the state and local government are fully stretched to capacity, and are lagging in basic facilities. A visit to any government owned schools in all the local governments of the state will give you first-hand information of the situation at hand.
Though one cannot conclude nor rule that, Cameroonians are to be blamed for the overstretched educational sector in Benue State, but we can convincingly say, the Cameroonian numbers have added weight to the already depressed sector, begging for argent attention.

Like birds on a tree branch, beaten by rain, dried by the scoring heat from the sun, flocked with the uneasy winter breeze.
The proverbial birds had no choice but to endure. They must feed, get acquainted with the reality of life, not to be left alone in the fast changing time of ours. And the ideas that comes with it.

Due to these conditions, the forest dressers cannot help them. They are stocked with poor dressing tools, their remunerations as forest dressers are poor. Their needs neglected. The proverbial birds are left at the mercy of haphazard conditions.
The situation of primary and secondary education dominated by Cameroonians in some local government is likened to those proverbial birds.
Poor infrastructure, occasioned with unwilling staff, is bedeviling the system in rural area. These scenarios have weakened a once vibrant system into a caricature or a banana system of Education.
Depressed Facilities at Schools
Depressed and dilapidating facilities and structures, have forced some of the school buildings, built four to five decades ago to be in bad shapes, and saw no renovation like their counter pack in the city.
In Some cases in areas close to the border with Cameroon, students receive lessons on the floor, a situation that should not be heard in this twenty first century.
Seemingly, most Schools are yet to be equipped with Library and Standard Laboratory, giving rise to poor products, a situation similar to academic disadvantage students.
Money budgeted for renovations and constructions are hardly felt in the rural areas. Perhaps, the Budget for education is grossly insufficient to cover government schools in affected areas.
Failure to investment Human capital will spell doom to the entire state. The rise in terror (Terror in Cameroon and herdsmen violence min Benue State) related activities is partly connected to failure in the educational system in in rural areas
Inadequate Staffing and Unqualified Teachers
Large chunk of the problems lie in impacting knowledge. How lessons are delivered depend on staff strength, availability of qualified teachers and how the teachers are well catered for.
Rural schools are characterized by inadequate teachers; students don’t enjoy the privileged of having sufficient teachers. A teacher would take two or more subjects to augment the shortfall. Making teachers understaffed to carry on their respective duties as desired.
Nonetheless, teachers are poorly remunerated. Their take home pay cannot take them home any longer. A situation where salaries are owed, teachers become relax and reluctant in their duties. And the innocent kids bear the brunt. Contributing menace to the system

Benue state higher intuitions like the University, Polytechniques and Collages of Education have handful presence of Cameroonians, though the state government has made significant improvement and progress in higher education
Standard and quality are issues yet to be addressed; these institutions at higher level are yet to see the 21st century style of education needed for growth and development.
Solutions to These Issues
Restricting the Cameroonians in participating in the educational sector in Benue state is an ill-conceive move. Its violet the international rules on Migration and Human Right Violation
Infrastructural deficit must be addressed, facilities to make learning easy must be provided, maintained and well-founded.
Teachers must be qualified; the education ministry must make policy to fetch only the best teacher.
The government should properly fund rural education, a portion of Companies Cooperate social Responsibility should go to Rural Education.
Private individuals should invest in rural education, building quality schools that are affordable to all should be a welcome idea. Well regulated and controlled by government
