Link to Apply For NWDC Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship 2025/2026; The North-West Development Commission (NWDC), established by the NWDC Act, 2024, signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is committed to driving development, growth, and infrastructure enhancement in the North-West region.
To further this mission, the Commission is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025/2026 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Foreign Scholarship.
This initiative seeks to foster academic excellence and empower exceptional individuals from the North-West region to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at reputable foreign universities.

Scholarship Details :
The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) Scholarship Scheme is offering awards for the following levels and fields of study:
Levels of studies :
a. Undergraduate
b. Master’s
c. Ph.D
Field of studies:
a. Engineering
b. Medical Sciences
c. Agriculture
d. ICT and Education
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Indigene: Be an indigene of the North-West States (Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, & Zamfara)
- Undergraduate: Distinction in 3 O’Level core science subjects and 5 credits in other subjects (in not more than 2 sittings).
- Master’s: CGPA of 3.8 and above.
- PhD: Minimum of 4.0/5.0 CGPA in Master’s Degree.
- Age Limit: 22 years and below for Undergraduate, 35 years and below for Master’s and 40 years and below for PhD at the time of application.
