President Tinubu Appoints Betta C. Edu Minister of Humanitarian Affairs: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mrs. Betta C. Edu as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, and Poverty Alleviation, she was born on October 27, 1986, until her appointment, she was the former Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria, until her resignation in 2022.

Mrs. Betta C.EDU will oversee the ministry of humanitarian affairs, social development, and disaster management. specifically, she will address all National Social Investment Issues of the government including, the Npower, Nexit, Social Net programs, and many more 

President Bola Tinubu has disclosed the assignments for 21 out of the 45 confirmed ministerial nominees. Among these appointments, former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has been designated as the head of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Ministry, while Dele Alake is entrusted with the role of Minister of Solid Minerals Development.
