5000 Independent Monitors: DSS, EFCC/ICPC To Deal With Fraud-Sadiya: The Federal Government through the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Umar Sadiya said, 13M Nigerians from the 36 states and Abuja have benefited from the National Social Investment Programme of the Buhari led government

This was convened during the training of the 5000 independent monitors recently on boarded

13million persons have benefited from social investment of the Federal Government, the minister boasted

The Minister also made mentioning of anti-graft agencies spear heading the activities of the 5000 independent monitors for a correct free system  

The precise words of Umar Sadiya Faroug “We are also working with security agencies like the DSS, EFCC and ICPC to monitor these programmes. If you are found engaging in any form of malpractice or fraud, you will be handed over to them for investigation and prosecution”.

“The trained Independent Monitors are expected to monitor the programmes at the community level, stressed that they will be assigned to monitor programmes beneficiaries within their locality in schools, households, and market clusters with the focus of ensuring that the primary objectives of these programmes are achieved”

“The social intervention programmes expected to be monitored include N-Power, the Homegrown School Feeding Programme, Conditional Cash Transfer Programmes and government enterprise and empowerment programmes

 “Your appointment will enhance the implementation of SIP in the state and the program in Nigeria at large, considered your appointment as service to humanity”.
