Npower in July: 10 Shocking facts that will Trigger Volunteers at Transition: In few days to come, the honorable minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Madam Umar Sadiya Farouq, will make a powerful pronouncement and declaration over batch A’s exit into what is now called” Transition” and the purported new entrant of 400,000 volunteers

The month of July is heavily pregnant, it holds the fate of batch A and B in the Npower programme. There are many promising things that will happen in the month of July. See http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-permanency-movedrop-your-signature-as-bill-goes-next-reading

Umar Sadiya Farouq, the honorable minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development disclosed plans by her ministry to streamline the entire programme for better efficiency as soon as it pays May stipend.

This streamlining includes Transiting both Batch A and B in Government entrepreneurship and viable private sectors platforms

Three week ago, the minister in a video broadcast, batch A and B will be exited to pave way for 400,000 new volunteers into the npower programme, a move not pleasant for batch A and B volunteers

“The beneficiaries were supposed to spend 24 months on the programme, but Batch A beneficiaries have spent over 40 months thereby denying other Nigerians an opportunity to access the programme and gain skills for entrepreneurship and employment,” Mrs Farouq said.

She also disclosed last week of commencing the transitioning of beneficiaries of Batch A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities

Let us unlock shocking facts that will trigger the month of July

Exit of Batch A very Must possible

About 500,000 young beneficiaries selected in 2016 and 2017 under Batch A and B, were to have been dropped out of the scheme after two years of internship,

Sadiya reveals that, 500,000 beneficiaries were supposed to spend 24 months on the programme, but Batch A beneficiaries have spent over 40 months thereby denying other Nigerians an opportunity to access the programme and gain skills for entrepreneurship and employment,

She always maintains her stands on exit of batch A and B beneficiaries into what is called “Transition”, we don’t have much details about this new development for new

See http://myeduproject.com.ng/psychometric-test-1000-questions-answers-practice-it-and-score-100-in-npower-test

There had been controversies between Ms Farouq and President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Social Investment, Maryam Uwais, about the exit package for the Batch A and B volunteers as each traded blame on who was responsible for the delay in disengaging the beneficiaries.

“The minister had blamed the National Social Investment Office (NSIO), under Mrs Uwais for having no viable plan for the exit of the beneficiaries.” See http://myeduproject.com.ng/transitioning-batch-a-b-psychometric-test-past-questions-and-answers

“In reaction, Mrs Uwais said her administrators had made ‘exit plans’ which had not been implemented before the office was moved under the leadership of Ms Farouq. She also said she had briefed Mrs Farouq on those plans”.

Transition in Progress

Transitioning volunteers into a meaningful and sustainable venture will strategically position the economy at an advantage, no volunteer will be laid-off- Sadiya Umar Disclosed via NTA

myeduproject.com.ng

She told reporters of the Transition plans developed since November 2019, and that all beneficiaries would be engaged according to the Psychometric assessment result

The minister made it clear, we are only transiting volunteers into a meaningful and viable ventures, we will not throw volunteers to the street

Beneficiaries will be transitioned into Government Entrepreneurship Schemes and other Viable Private Sectors to boast the economy devasted by covid-19

The minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Ms. Umar Sadiya Farouq, said Federal Government is gradually transitioning volunteers to the next level to make provision for others.

The goal is to keep volunteers Npowered while positioning Nigeria at the core of the post covid-19 digital economy.

Responding to a question asked on NTA, the Minister hinted Government plan to transition volunteers without laying them off.

“As part of the transition process before eligible volunteers will be absorbed into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries, a compulsory completion of psychometric assessment would be done to determine competency and placement into various opportunities – Hajiya Sadiya Farouq disclosed.

The Federal Government will be opening opportunities in the services and real sectors of the economy where all volunteers will be deployed.

Some key sectors for deployment include:

  • Real Estate
  •  Hospitality
  • Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
  • Creative industry
  • Finance (agency banking)
  • Agriculture & Agro processing
  • Transport and Logistics
  •  Retail (e-commerce)

Psychometric Test Will Be Conducted Before Absorption

As part of the transition process before eligible volunteers will be absorbed into government entrepreneurship schemes and private sector bodies

A compulsory completion of psychometric assessment will be done to determine competency and placement into various opportunities- Umar Sadiya Farouq disclosed

“The ministry said the current enrollees of the scheme (Batch A) will exit June 30, 2020 while (Batch B) will exit the programme on July 31, 2020.”

“This is contained in a statement in Abuja on Friday by the Deputy Director Information of the ministry, Rhoda Iliya”

Hajiya Sadiya Farouq,  said “We have commenced the transitioning of beneficiaries from Batches A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities.

Npower will be streamlined

In Sadiya’s words “We are working hard to streamline the programme for greater efficiency and to provide opportunities for more Nigerian youths. Details will be provided as soon as May stipend has been paid.

We may not know the true meaning of streamlining as per the programme. But what we do know is that, many changes will take effect

Some volunteers will be retired and many more will come in, in few days’ time, the minister will make a powerful declaration and her intension will be made known to all

Payment of June Stipends will be made in July

The minister has said, June stipend is already been processed, that is, it has been signed and processed, ready to be paid without delay

Volunteers, both A and B need not to protest or resort to names calling before being paid, the tragedy caused by the action of the volunteers reached higher authorities, and sadiya had no choice but to pay

Already her office is being questioned with alleged maladministration, misappropriation, and corruption, making EFCC ready to pick her for questioning. A sad reality no public figure will welcome

Both batch A and B will be paid very soon, while we do not the exact and date stipends will be paid, MYEDUPROJECT is quite sure, it will not be delayed as before

Registration of New Entrant (400,000 new volunteers)

According toMrs Farouq in her last video, she made mentioning of new volunteers to be recruited. If 500, 000 volunteers of batch A and B would go, it means, there must be replacement

“Batch A and B beneficiaries were supposed to spend 24 months on the programme, but Batch A beneficiaries have spent over 40 months thereby denying other Nigerians an opportunity to access the programme and gain skills for entrepreneurship and employment

A critical look at the bolded in her statement shows, more Nigerian youths will be welcomed in no distant time. Npower Portal is already upgraded and ready for massive registration

No Hope for Device Selection and Pickup in July

The much-promised devices, might not come at all, both batch A and B will some be transited to another level, thus; devices may just be a “wishful thinking to batch B”

There is no sign it will come, volunteers of Batch B need to up their game, if they ever want to enjoy the privilege given to batch A

All beneficiaries should take to mrs sadiya’s twitter page handle and sign tirelessly of the much promised IPAD
