AFJP Grant 2021 Update: Farmers Whose BVN Is Validated By NIBSS Will Be Credited Directly- FMARD

The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has said, farmers whose BVN is validated will be paid swiftly next week, the 7^th of July 2021

The Small Holder Vulnerable Farmers in the country will start to receive alert from the 7^th of July 2021

Farmers enumerated but without BVN and bank accounts are encouraged to hasten to the nearest bank to open bank accounts and get BVN in order to benefit.

FG Disburses N6.154BN For Fertilizer Subsidy To Farmers

President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the immediate disbursement of Fertilizer Subsidy Fund to Small Holder Vulnerable Farmers in the country.

“These beneficiary farmers have been enumerated in the data base of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with State Agricultural Development Project (ADP) staff, under the Economic Sustainability Plan, and Agriculture for Food and Jobs Plan (AFJP).

“The disbursement will be in batches, starting with Batch A, covering 1,209,143 farmers, with total subsidy of N6, 154,802,000. This will enable the farmer source fertilizer in the open market.

“Farmers enumerated but without BVN and bank accounts are encouraged to hasten to the nearest bank to open bank accounts and get BVN in order to benefit.

“Farmers not yet enumerated are also encouraged to cooperate with the ADP’s and enumerators to get enumerated on their farms

We wish to commend highly the efforts of the State Programme Managers, Master Trainers and Ex-Npower beneficiaries for enumerating farmers nationwide.”

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and the Project for Agricultural Co-ordination and Execution (PACE) has started giving fertilizer subsidy grant to AFJP farmers

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) and the Project for Agricultural Co-ordination and Execution (PACE) is massively subsidizing fertilizer to farmers that are captured by AFJP

AFJP farmers are advised to link their bank account with their BVN on or before the 7^th of July to

Only AFJP framers are benefiting from the gesture, aimed at increasing locally grown food supply, create employment opportunities in the agriculture sector and export food surplus using existing agreements.

How Can One Be A AFJP farmers

To achieve this, Enumerators were engaged to survey smallholder farms, collect farmers details, identify priority crops and livestock and mapping the size of the farm.
