BBC World Service is recruitment for to fill in the post of Social Media Visual Analyst who will the institute to reach the underserved crowd in Africa.

Duties:
**He/She will be require to produce illustrations and develop cartoons which will complement the day’s stories in social media formats
**He/She will present visual storytelling ideas for all long term series and special projects
**He/She will apply editorial judgement when illustrating stories of a sensitive/controversial nature and seek advice where appropriate.
**Applicant should be able to exercise a quick reaction to all breaking news stories or trending stories when appropriate
**Applicant will be based in Nairobi and will report directly to the local Senior Broadcast Journalist Digital
**He/She will work with a social media editor in World Service languages
Required Skills and Experience
- Applicant must have an Experience Level : 0 – 3 Years
- Applicant must have demonstrated his/her skill and experience in visual storytelling – illustration and or cartooning.
- Candidate must have the ability to use motion graphics software, such as
- Adobe After Effects, to create 2D animations for social media.
- Applicant should have an understanding on social media platforms which includes Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,.
- Candidates must be creative and flair
- Applicant must have a strong interest in news and current affair
- Applicant should have the ability to work speedily and accurately and also under pressure.
