While most of the beneficiaries have received for the said months, a handful of volunteers are yet to receive theirs, prompting inequality and unfair treatment of some-Affected volunteers

The management of Npower programme has swung into action to address the situation; affected volunteers are to send their details to npower mail in this format:

The data bank of the Npower beneficiaries is undergoing reconciliation, and after which affected, volunteers will be settled according, Npower assured unpaid volunteers

A handful of beneficiaries of the programme both batch A and B did not get their entitlement for the said months due to mixture of data, being reconciled as we speak.

What caused the mixture of data is yet to be known apparently, but all we know is that, in no distant time, all affected volunteers will be paid any time from now. http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-project-permanency-send-direct-message-to-your-senator-rep

Affected Volunteers need not to panic of their stay in the programme, they are still in the programme, we are doing all we could to reconcile all our data before May stipend starts rolling

There have been rumor circulating the corner of purported winch hunt of volunteers, who criticized or complained about the poor and ineptitude of some quarters of the Npower programme

No one will hold your stipends because you criticized cluster heads of the npower programme- the statement added.

Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede Beads farewell to Npower

Heartfelt message left Npower volunteers in shock

One of the cluster heads and the pioneer of the npower programme, Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede has left the npower programme

In his heartfelt message, the beads farewell to all volunteers, and thanked them for their cooperation during his term as the head of the pragramm

Mr Afolabi is no longer in charge or in control of the npower project, all powers and authorities now lies in the hand of the hon. Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Umar sadiya, the  head of the ministry

A strategist, Mr Afolabi successfully carried out massive recruitment with professionalism, expertise, accountability and enthusiasm

Well loved by volunteers for his Facebook live chat, he successfully communicated all news and information volunteers need to know

Being the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Job creation, Mr Afolabi will no longer be in control of the programme

“The model used in all aspect of the programme from the online application to the selection and enrolment process and the impact the programme has on Nigerian youths is a work carefully planned and thought off by Mr. Afolabi.”-Volunteers

“A leader like Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede is one among the Npower leaders that made that process possible. His listening ability and simplicity in interacting with the Npower volunteers will be missed”-volunteers alleged

On the 1st of May 2020, Mr Afolabi took to his twitter handle to share the news that he has handover the management of Npower programme fully to the ministry of humanitarian and affairs, disaster management and social development.

Mr. Afolabi’s Tenure:

Professor Yemi Osibanjo, the vice president, a noble man, full of vision and creativity, enriched with wisdom and positivity, made Mr. Afolabi the Caretaker and the cluster head of the Npower programme

The programme went smooth and sound, batch A was well managed to a large extent. The Government headed by President buhari saw that the programme is a success story of his government- An accolade well commended by all Nigerians. Hence Batch B of 300,000 volunteers were on boarded

Even the opposition parties were shamed and left to wonder if such laudable programme could see the light of the day, given the lean resources met by the buhari government

Afolabi-A well experienced Strategist:

  • Beneficiaries’ Stipends were never delayed compared to the present Head of the Npower programme or the head of ministry of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development
  • There where communication and friendly relationship between Employees and Employers
  • Gave hope and courage to beneficiaries, the move for permanency was activated
  • With his constant face book live chat, beneficiaries where at ease and kept in touch with the Federal Government
  • Volunteers once had the opportunities to go to the situation room, on one-on-one contact ask and meet with mr. Afolabi
  • Mr. Afolabi made it a duty to visit PPA of beneficiaries- a move that kept all volunteers alert and serious
  • He instituted many other laudable internal control mechanisms that help youths see the beauty of skills acquisitions as the driver of the economy, Ntech (software and hardware), Nbuild etc
