Transition/Quality Exit Package: NGF/FEC Meeting Was Fruitful-Fayemi: Prior to the Massive protest action by exited Npower volunteers held 12th of November 2020, the Nigerian Governor’s Forum (NGF) and the Federal Executive Council (FEC) had an insightful meeting on how exited volunteers will be settled
It could be recalled that the NGF and FEC met last week to find a lasting solution to Npower exited volunteers, the meeting according to Npower National President and States Executive will fast-track the transition process.
In an interview with Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, the Chairman, Nigerian Governor’s Forum, the Meeting was a Fruitful one, he did not say what exactly is the outcome or what has been decided as further meetings are on the way
In few days to come, more meetings will be held and exited volunteers will know their fate regarding Transition into MDAs or Qualtiy exit package according to some quarter

“According to a post by Kiri on the telegram channel of ‘The 36 States and FCT Npower Forum’, an interactive session between the Ekiti State Youths and Governor of the State Dr. John Kayode Fayemi was held on the 1st of November 2020
“And the Governor responded by saying that work is ongoing seriously at the presidency about the exit package, that they should expect it soonest”
The office of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, headed by Sadiya Umar Farouq has plead with exited volunteers to wait as plan is on high gear to deliver transition
Her words “Despite this, the exited beneficiaries are advised to exercise more patience and await the result of the efforts being made by the Honorable Minister who is currently engaging various MDAs including the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to ensure that the eligible exited beneficiaries are transited to government progammes or even employment where available.

We have directed Focal Persons of NSIPs in all the states to submit an updated list and details of the exited N-Power beneficiaries that are interested in participating in the transition plans of the ministry” the Honourable Minister stated”
Meanwhile, the N-Power Reps Forum had engaged with the Head of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management and Social Development on the transition programme, they promise to brief the entire volunteers as result comes out
