Samuel Ortom : All State Governors have failed the masses
Shortly after he was cleared by the supreme court of law, the Benue state governor faulted the 36 states governors on non-performance the nation
He faulted the whole governors for the current affliction on the country, stating that, governors all over the nation had not performance to the demand of the people they govern.
Hosted by the Christian Association of Nigeria, Benue State branch, the wailing governor asked the Nigerian populace to constantly pray for the leaders of Nigeria.
According to Vanguard News reports, the Christian Association of Nigeria, Benue State branch cheered the governor on his victory at the Supreme Court.
The Victorious Ortom
The Supreme Court on Tuesday delivered a ground breaking judgment, to sealed the fate of the leading contender of the 2019 gubernatorial candidates of People Democratic Party in Benue State-Samuel Ortom .
The Supreme Court on Tuesday 21st January 2019 heard the appeal documented by the Benue State governorship applicant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the last election, Mr.Emmanuel Jime who was testing the triumph of Governor Samuel Ortom of the People Democratic Party, PDP.
Nigerians Swiftly React
In the meantime, Nigerians from have swiftly countered the Governor.
Market Women, Traders, Benue state civil servants accused the governor of not paying of workers as at when due, many in the state are not happy with the current administration, probably the present governors has not treated the state fairly financially.
Many critics see Benue state not moving in the right direction, hence there should be change in the administration, an extreme and highly professional and capable hand is needed to change the fortune of the state economy- critics added
One mr Abdulfatai Yusuf Bello, a social media user urged the governor not to generalize issues. In his correct words “He said the governor must hold himself responsible for failing Benue people.”
Governor Ortom should hold himself responsible for failing the people of Benue state. He should not generalize issue, because Lagos, Ogun, Kano, and other states are doing well.
Mr. Abdulfatai Yusuf Bello went ahead to question Mr Samuel Ortom on why Benue is not doing well in agriculture despite being the food basket of the nation? Why can’t he make the state the agriculture hub of Nigeria?” Abdulfatai Yusuf Bello added
