Over 100,000 Volunteers Are Entrepreneurs & Employers of labor-Sadiya : The Head of the Ministry, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Madam Umar Sadiya has advised the youth not to relent in ceasing opportunities presented by the Federal Government

The Minister said this through her aid and spoke person, Nneka Ikem Anibeze, who said, more than   100,000 Npower exited volunteers have businesses of their own and can employ others

Madam Sadiya, who is a pioneer, reveals programmes the Buhari led government has made for the youth, The Npower Programme, the National Youth Investment Fund, Survival Fund, and other Skills developmental Strategies

No government has methodically provided for the youth like the Buhari led government. The minister also talked about the Npower programme, more than 500,000 persons in batch A and B have benefited from government intervention

She stressed the need for youth all over the nation to take advantage and good use of all the opportunities and progremmes the government is making to put a lasting end to youth unemployment and crime in the country

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has made direct efforts to tackle youth unemployment and re-energize service delivery in four key sectors- Education, Agriculture, Health and Vocational Skills through the N-Power programme”.

“At the end of engagement of the first two batches of the program, over 100,000 beneficiaries have become entrepreneurs and are now employers of labor”.

“The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is partnering very closely with other agencies of Government involved in youth empowerment programs and the Central Bank of Nigeria to see how the exited N-Power beneficiaries can key into the various youth empowerment interventions that are offered by the Bank”
