Npower Protest: Volunteers Camp in Streets, Bridges, Parks, Churches, Mosques: Over 500 exited Npower volunteers are already in Abuja, the Capital City of Nigeria to participate in the planned protest, scheduled to take place September 20th, 2021

As of Saturday Night, the 18th of Setpember, more than 500 Npower volunteers have registered their presence via their states executives and representatives in Abuja

Majority of Volunteers are camping on the streets, under the bridges, in motor parks, Friends house, Churches, Mosques etc

Volunteers from the 36 states and Abuja will gather in mass at Federal Secretariat in FCT to plead with the Buhari led Government to speed up the NEXIT plan, which has started yielding fruit

The Npower programme had disengaged more than 500,000 batch A and B volunteers, with the hope of incorporating them into meaningventure, but all hope seems to be dashed

Volunteers have been disengaged unjustly without any package, hence the protest.  Volunteers will on Monday, stage what is known as, “the mother of all protest” a week long strike, till their request is granted

Many volunteers have shown interest in participating in the protest , but only few have registered with their states executives for documentation

All details of volunteers participating in the protest in all states must go through their state coordinator for proper coordination

Hence all these, there is no complaint for our five months unpaid stipend backlogs by our fellow colleagues who were paid duly, I believe this protest will be futile!
