Npower permanency move: Drop your Signature as Bill Goes Next Reading
The move for permanency of N-power volunteers will come into the limelight, the matter will be discussed at the house Representatives, and batch A and B fate may depend on the outcome of this discussion.
Many of our senators and house of reps members representing us might not be aware of the situation at hand; it is our duty to make them know the urgency at hand, not just by social or digital media but by using our voices via signatures to sway opinions and sympathy. This formula had worked and still working
What we fail to do as volunteers is to boost the morale of these senators and reps, by actively showing them how serious and concerned we are with this issue, a closed mouth is a closed destiny
Since we cannot walk to the Senate or House of Reps to decide our fate, we can use our signatures as a voice to bring our demand to the national discourse, thus bringing public sympathy and national interest to our plight
Your signatures have already gone a long way to raise a concern about the constant delay in stipend payment, and the matter was addressed swiftly with haste; wonder why you got a credit alert first June? Higher authorities heard your voice and cry.
The same will happen when you drop your signatures and allow us to bombard those in charge of lawmaking. We will not let their social and digital media rest unless our demand is accepted.
Permanency of volunteers is Gaining the Ground Allover lately
It is no longer news, both the Senate and House of Representatives are fully aware of the plight and cry of N-power volunteers on the issue of permanency.
A member of the Red chamber once raised the matter on the floor of the 9th senate, and not a few days ago, a rep member did the same in the house of Representatives. Both houses welcomed the idea with a promise to look at the issue holistically.
When it comes to youth empowerment and employment, a concerned nation must approach it with haste and honesty, as it concerns national security, we will guide our national security with pride and wisdom, a rep member added.
Wole Diya- Member Federal House of Representatives calls for permanency
Wole Diya, representing Shomolu federal constituency in the Federal House of Representatives calls for permanency of all Npower volunteers.
This move is coming at a time when beneficiaries are stranded and confused about the exit plan prepared by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development headed by Hajia Sadiya Farouq
Wole Diya who is agitating for permanency disclosed that giving young minds a sense of belonging, is the best thing the federal government could do to tide the issue of insecurity bedeviling the nation.
He stressed the need to actively encourage the youths via Permanency in their various PPA as national pride, thus creating an atmosphere of peace and stability
What it means is that, if this move scales through, we will see a massive decline in restiveness among young people. see http://myeduproject.com.ng/npower-see-the-rep-and-senator-in-favor-of-permanency-bill
Wole Diya was not left in the dark; like other members of the Federal House of Representatives shared his sentiment on the matter.
Senator Lawal yahaya gumau Backed npower permanency bill
In a related development, Senator representing Bauchi south senatorial districts lawal yahaya gumau speaks on npower permanency bill, he is proposing for the adoption and creation of an agency for National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
Being the chairperson, Senate Committee on Social Investments and Poverty Alleviation, he suggested the absorption of all npower beneficiaries, in all categories into the civil service to curb the rising unemployment crisis in the country.
As the Chairman, Senate Committee on Social Investments and Poverty Alleviation, senator Lawal Yahaya Gumau wants Nigerian Youths to be productive and engaged.
To tide in the problems of national insecurity, the country must empower its youths. This must come from the Federal Government; the country must rise up to her responsibility and put an end to youth restiveness-the senator added.
Any nation that fails to explore and empower its youths is set on a time bomb. The federal government must show sincere courage and will, to massively invest in her youths. Anything short of this will spell doom for the nation
The motion was seconded and supported by more than half of the 9th senate. If this motion scales through, it will see many youths, from all works of life engaged. Actively empowered not just to provide food for the nation, but to empower others, thus curbing unemployment
