Npower News for July 2024 | Batch C Payment Update; The Npower program is among the national social investment programs of the federal government meant to lift 30 million Nigerians out of strict poverty, but misappropriation and widespread corruption have led to the suspension of the Npower youth empowerment program
Many beneficiaries of the program have been asking some series of questions regarding Npower and the payment of 9 months stipend after the suspension of the program and the coordinating minister of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Betty Edu
Though the program remains suspended, and no one knows when it will come on board, there are signs that things will return to normal as FG is currently looking into the sustainability of the Npower program
One of the signs that the Npower program is coming back is the lifting of suspension on the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program. The President made this statement during his one-year-in-office address, which depicts the federal government’s ongoing dedication to providing financial support and assistance to poor and vulnerable households through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Program.
President Tinubu’s administration is actively engaging stakeholders to effectively run the program without repeating the same mistake it did, therefore, lifting of the suspension on the program is a matter of weeks, until then, the program will remain suspended.
