Npower Devices: Batch B Cheated Most-No Devices for Batch B&C: Umar Saidya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has NEVER talked about the Npower Devices promised to Batch B and a handful of batch A volunteers who failed to collect theirs due to shortages

It is now crystal clear and glaring, devices will not be issued, the tenure of batch A and B has ended, many volunteers have taken to various social media to remind the Humanitarian Minister, but all plea fell on deaf ears, as she played ignorant of that part of the programme

Was it perversity Batch A’s were given Devices? What hope lies with Batch B? And to what extent batch C stand a chance? Exited and incoming volunteers questioned the integrity of the programme under the leadership and mentor-ship of Sadiya- the first Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development

Some called it ” a cheat on batch B”, Batch A’s were given devices and B’s were not, under the same funded programme. A move judged to be unfair and poorly managed, giving rise to questions of poor Planning and Administration

The Last Press Statements Released by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development finally dashed all hopes for device selection and pick-up

The press release only address the 14,000 volunteers rejected by GIFMIS, in coming batch C, and the way out (Transition plan) of batch batch A and B

There was information and nothing was said about the Devices for some batch A, the Whole batch B and the in coming batch C

See Transition: Names and Phone Numbers of Focal Officers in 36 States and FCT

while other see batch B’s as “losers”, prospective batch C’s are ” the Biggest losers”, not only will they be denied same devices, their tenure is cut short already. Batch A, B and C, from 40 months to 24 months, and finally to 12 and 6 months respectively.

Just like kids that bank on their parent’s promises and remind them constantly, volunteers of batch B still questions and worries about their promised devices
