For clarity, the NIYEEDEP seeks to empower youths through economic engagement and de-radicalization efforts through the creation of 20 million jobs for youths.
This ambitious plan focuses on entrepreneurship in key sectors such as agriculture, agro-allied industries, food and beverage, technology, entertainment, and renewable energy.
Mission and Objectives
NIYEEDEP’s mission is to equip Nigerian youths with the tools, opportunities, and platforms necessary to become active participants in the economy.
The program focuses on transforming youths into entrepreneurs and job creators, thereby driving poverty alleviation, economic development, national security, nation-building, and social stability.
Key objectives of NIYEEDEP include:

Core Initiatives
To achieve its objectives, NIYEEDEP has introduced several key initiatives:
Youth Farmers’ Cooperative Scheme:
This program aims to create 12 million youth farmers and food entrepreneurs within 24 months.
It focuses on reducing youth unemployment, addressing food insecurity, promoting wealth creation, and alleviating household poverty by generating mass employment opportunities in the agriculture and food sectors.
Food4All Initiative:
Designed to address food insecurity and acute hunger in Nigeria, this initiative seeks to prevent potential unrest caused by economic hardship by ensuring access to adequate nutrition for all citizens.
Fund-Yes Cooperative:
A non-bank financial investment and wealth creation cooperative society for youth and women entrepreneurs, aiming to solve unemployment and eradicate poverty by providing financial support and investment opportunities
HOGEEC Financial Investment Program:
A high-income-yielding and wealth creation investment program designed to enable individuals, business entities, and other organized groups to invest and grow their money.
Registration
The program has received over 409,230 applications, more so, the registration process is ongoing, and interested youths can still apply through the official NIYEEDEP portal.
Account Opening:
The next phase involves opening business accounts with one of NIYEEDEP’s three partner banks.
Applicants are mandated to use any of the three banks for opening an online account


Funds Disbursements
After account opening phase, NIYEEDEP will evaluate applicant’s applications and only valid request will be given funds. Disbursement will be limited to successful shortlisted candidates.
