NIMC: See Possible ways of renewing your old National Identity Card with NIMC Mobile App: The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) have encourage all Nigerians who are still in possession of the old National Identity Card to Enroll for NIN since the old National ID has since been DISCONTINUED.
The old National ID is no longer valid as the National Identity Management Commission have declared it discontinued. Soon, all those with the old ID will will be called to Update your NIN, hence it is advisable to visit the enrollment center for faster validation,
NIMC also introduced a mobile app that allows you to update your National ID Card. It is advisable to download and print the new National Identity Card.
How to download NIMC mobile app

To download the NIMC app, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Visit your Google Playstore if you are an android user and similarly go to apple store if you are an iOS user.
Step 2: After installing follow the guide below to get started on how to use the NIMC Mobile App.
Step 3: After downloading and done the phone installation, scroll to the left and click on Skip and Begin
Step 4: Put in your 11-digit NIN number and press Next, then later I Agree
Step 5: The mobile number you used to register for your NIN will pop up together with two questions;
(a). I am still using this Mobile Number
(b). I am not using this number?
Click the one that is correct from the two questions and press Next
Step 6: If you are using the same number, enter the user ID and the OTP sent to your phone through an SMS. Then press proceed.
Note: If you do not use the number again, visit any NIMC office to update your mobile number.
