If you applied for the Nigerian Army Short Service Combatant (SSC) Commission Course, you must check your name and proceed to the next round of recruitment and training
Eligible candidates both civilian or serving military personnel will have the opportunity to serve the nation
Successful applicants will undergo training at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) in Jaji, Kaduna State. The training is rigorous and designed to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve effectively as officers in the Nigerian Army.
Upon completion of the training, candidates will be commissioned as officers in various combat and combat support arms. This includes the infantry, armor, artillery, engineers, signals, and intelligence corps.
Important Eligibility Criteria About the Nigerian Army (SSC) Commission Course
To be eligible for the SSC Commission Course, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship and Age
Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth, as defined in the amended 1999 Constitution
Age:
23 to 27 years by January 2025
Physical and Mental Fitness
Fitness Standards:
Applicants must meet the Nigerian Army’s mental, medical, and physical fitness standards.
Height Requirements:
Male candidates must be at least 1.68 meters tall, and female candidates must be at least 1.65 meters tall.

Character and Legal Requirements
Character Verification:
Candidates need attestation from at least two known referees who are either local government officials, armed forces officers of lieutenant colonel rank, or assistant commissioners of police.
Referees must be from the applicant’s state of origin, and passport photographs must be attached to the attestation letter.
Legal Status:
Applicants must not have been convicted by any criminal judges by a court of law. Military personnel must have no disciplinary cases and require endorsement from their commanding officers.
Educational Qualifications
Academic Credentials:
Candidates must hold at least a first degree with not less than a second-class lower division or an HND with not less than a lower credit in arts, sciences, or humanities from accredited institutions.
Accreditation:
Courses of study must have been accredited at the time of study.
NYSC Requirements: Non-military
Applicants must possess an NYSC discharge certificate or a valid certificate of exemption.
Post-Secondary Credentials: Only academic credentials obtained from 2014 onwards will be considered.
Documentation
Birth Certificate: Applicants must possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, or local government council, along with a valid age declaration.
State of Origin Certificate: A valid certificate of state of origin is required.
Educational Certificates: Candidates must submit all original copies of their educational certificates from primary to post-secondary levels.
