NEXIT Protest: Massive Demonstration On 22nd Feb. 2021- States Reps

NEXIT Protest: Massive Demonstration On 22nd Feb. 2021- States Reps: With the ongoing delays and massive login problem faced by Nexit volunteers in the CBN loan affiliate programme of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Npower (Nexit) volunteers have decided to “wake the government up” via a peaceful demonstration on the 22nd of Feb, 2021

The Npower 36 States Representative and Executive is inviting volunteers both far and near the Federal Capital Territory to immediately show interest in the slated massive demonstration on the said date

Npower Volunteers have perceived the promise made by the Humanitarian Minister, to Commence the Nexit CBN loan affiliate program, as a delay tactic, volunteers will be reminding the government of her promise via the 22nd of Feb, 2021

But the Federal Government through the office of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has warned all volunteers to exercise patient

In her precise words last year “all exited beneficiaries are advised to exercise more patience and await the result of the efforts being made by the Honorable Minister who is currently engaging various MDAs including the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to ensure that the eligible exited beneficiaries are transited to government programs or even employment where available

More Patience is to be exercised to successfully deliver Volunteers into MDAs, Sadiya Umar Farouq blamed improper arrangement at the commencement of the program to place exited volunteers after two years by the Ministry”

However, the same government has taken a step by launching a portal where exited volunteers will register for a CBN loan, but it is taking ages for registration and communication regarding the loan

In a statement through the Special Adviser Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development over the transition, Mrs. Nneka Nkem, stated CBN intervention programs that will keep volunteers at work into meaningful ventures

“A Portal that will enable Exited N-Power Beneficiaries to apply for Central Bank of Nigeria Empowerment Options has been launched by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development”

“The platform which was developed in collaboration with the CBN will enable Exited N-Power Beneficiaries to log on and apply for the various Economic, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship options provided by the CBN”

“The NEXIT portal is to determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs and is dependent on meeting the criteria and conditions set by the CBN for the said programs”

“The Minister also emphasized that the NEXIT PORTAL will determine the suitability of the beneficiaries for the CBN affiliated programs”

Exit volunteers are kept in the dark with no communication, hence the protest

Volunteers in and around Abuja are encourage to join the peaceful protest
