Admission Requirements
Below are the requirements needed
The acceptance rate at USNA is 10%.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens,
Age must be between 17 and 23
And must be unmarried
Must not be pregnant, and
Have no dependents.
Applicants must be in the top 40% of their class.
To apply to the Academy, an allowed source must nominate students.
The amount of applicant interest, academic GPA, standardized test scores, the rigor of the secondary school report, letters of reference, application essay, character, class rank, and extracurricular activities.
The student’s geographical location and skill are also crucial secondary considerations.
Alumni relationships, racial status, volunteer and job experience.
Candidates must be medically certified and pass a physical fitness test.
When applying to USNA, a candidate should emphasize academic and extracurricular accomplishments.
United States Naval Academy GPA Requirements
The United States Naval Academy expects you to have a 3.66 GPA and be above average in your high school class.
At the very least, you’ll need a mix of A’s and B’s, with more A’s than B’s.
You may make up for a low GPA by taking more difficult subjects, such as AP or IB.
This shows that you can manage more challenging academics than the ordinary high school student.
You will need a better SAT or ACT score to compensate if your GPA exceeds the school average of 3.66.
