Applicants of the batch C programme are calling for increment of stipend from 30, 000 to 50,000 without condition. The economic situation of the country is not appealing, the government need to increase the amount-Batch C applicants lament
They argued that, the batch A and B disengaged volunteer’s enjoyed low inflation rate in 2016 and 2017, but the economy has dwindled and turned bad in 2021, the government should increase our stipends to 50,000
Batch C volunteers also claim that, batch A and B spent more than 2 years in the programme, same respect should be accorded to them for equity purposes
A renown site, https://www.myinfoclock.com report that, “The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development had stated that in addition to expanding the number of beneficiaries to 1 million (in two Streams of 500,000 beneficiaries each), the N-power Batch C Programme would last for 12 months, on a monthly Stipend of N30,000.
“Reacting to the development, an applicant of the N-power Programme, Victor Okere pleaded with the Federal Government to increase the monthly Stipend N50,000 considering the 12 Months duration and high cost of living presently in the country”
