N-power:  2 Volunteers Collapsed after Hearing Disengagement news

Tension got to the highest level among N-power Benefactresses , when leadership newspaper broke a sad news to Batch A volunteers on their tray of disengagement from of the program.

It was trauma, some beneficiaries who have no other source of income where dead inside.

Unconfirmed reported had it that, two beneficiaries in Benue state collapsed upon receiving the shocking news.

This is an indication that, many volunteers (Batch A) are not ready or not truly empowered to live independently should they let them go without the monthly $85 stipends (30, 000 Nigeria naira).

When N-power batch A volunteers woke up to Hear disengagement news  published  from Leadership news media- a leading national daily in Nigeria, many volunteers were traumatized, wore sad look.

Apparently, the minster of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Umar Sadiya Faroug has swung into action to address the matter. In NTA good morning Nigeria, she urged Batch A beneficiaries to wait for an official statement from the Federal government

 In her right words “We have not disclosed or made any official announcement on disengagement, disregard any malicious information and be focused in your Place of primary Assignment.

However, we will keep you appraise, when the presidency and the National Social Investment have strategies A glorious exit package, that will see that, our young promising individuals are not pushed to the street

Was it perversity Volunteers longed to prepare themselves for eventuality like this? Many deaths might be on the pipe if beneficiaries’ hopes are dashed to the ground unjustly.
