Latest Update from NExit Loan Training And SASSA R350 Grant Appeal

The NExit CBN Loan training program for the remaining two batches is the latest issue bordering all untrained and trained volunteers, this is because, without all being trained, and certificated issued; there will be no CBN disbursement

Apparently, the Humanitarian ministry has not officially briefed applicants on the next date for the Nexit CBN loan training program, but its official page handles has given assurance and hope to all untrained applicants, see here

The training is in three batches, over 75,000 volunteers across the country have been trained in the first batch, with 330,000 left to be trained and engaged in the second and third batches of the training

The second and third batches are expected to be trained in no distant time and the certificate awarded, after which, the apex bank (CBN) will fund the program with over an N10billion budget ($24, 080, 718) 

When trained and certified, each volunteer will be loaned up to N3, 000,000, ($7,225), this is according to the report released by the office of the Humanitarian Minister, see proof here

The CBN is already to commence disbursement as government as soon as FG gives authorization, this will be the second-largest loan and grant program after the South African SASSA R350 per month to the poor and venerable

The South African SASSA grant program has over 5 million beneficiaries earning R350 per month ($22), while the Npower volunteers in Nigeria, a similar program to curb youth restiveness and unemployment pay N30, 000 per mount ($73) to close to 1 Million

However, the Npower program has some edges over the South African SASSA grant, in terms of stipend and retirement benefits at the later date of the program

Meanwhile, the application Portal for the new SASSA R350 Grant Appeals is srd.dsd.gov.za, applicants are to lodge an appeal as soon as possible for immediate consideration and payment

According to Brenton Van Vrede, Grants Operations Executive Manager, said “the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) uses a number of systems in order to determine whether an applicant qualifies for the R350 Social Relief of Distress Grant”

 “Out of the 10.9 million applications SASSA had received for the SRD grant, 5 million applications had been approved and approximately 5 million applications declined”

The SRD grant is administered under the new Social Assistance Act, which allows individuals with a monthly threshold of R350 and below to receive grant beneficiaries.

According to Sassa, you may apply for the appeal within a period of 30 days but not exceeding 90 days to the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals (ITSAA) after receiving the notification that your application has been rejected by Sassa.

It has been reported that this applies to all appeals from April 2022 and onwards. Even if you submitted an appeal using the old SRD website, you must appeal again using the new website.

Lodge appeal

The Tribunal will inform you of the outcome of your appeal electronically, within a period of 60 – 90 days from the lodging of the appeal.
