IBEDC To Begin Distribution Of 100,000 Free Meters Next Week-Punch: The management of The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company will starts free distribution of Meters to residency in line with the Federal Government Mass Metering Scheme
All is now set for the free distribution of 100,000 Meters to subscribers, the Chief Operating Officer of IBEDC, John Ayodele Added
This exercise will cover only franchise areas covered by IBEDC and will last till the December, by so doing, estimated billing will be reduced to pave way to prepaid meters
In his precise words, John Ayodele said “Part of the objectives also includes the elimination of estimated billing, improving network monitoring capability and strengthening the local content in meter manufacturing in Nigeria”
“The National Mass Metering Program is expected to roll out six million meters over the next 18 to 36 months across Nigeria”
