Home Grown School Feeding: FG to feed Kids with N142.3Billion: The Buhari led administration has planned to spend a whopping sum of 142.3 Billion naira to feed Primary School children in 2021 Academic Session under the Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP), about 10 Million Children from Primary 1 to 3 are to benefit from this gesture
The Budget embebed along with the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP), represent 40.5 per cent of the total spending in Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development
The Federal Government has budgeted N142.3billion to feed 9.86 million children, deworm seven million children and recount the pupils in 2020 under the Home Grown School Feeding Program (NHGSFP), one of the components of the National Social Investment Programme.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, a whooping sum of N2.7 billion will be used to buy utensil to further the caurse of the feeding pupils
“In all, the National Social Investment Program could gulp N145 billion in 2021 which is a slice from the N400 billion – N350 billion recurrent and N50 billion capital expenditure proposed to the National Assembly for the implementation of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIP) in 2021
“The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has also proposed the expansion of the National Home Grown School Feeding Program through the addition of 5million children in conventional and non-conventional schools under the Alternate School Programme in the coming year, as contained in it’s report to the National Assembly.”
