FRMADSPACE Survey: Garba Captures 1,905 Farms & Was Paid 413,000: A determined enumerator, who takes farming as a hobby, took up the mantle embedded on him as an N-agro enumerator. He did not only captured farmers, but made effort implement Federal Government agricultural programmes in the rural areas

Garba Danlami Darius, 26, an Indigene of Taraba State but resides in Minna, Niger State. Darius successfully captured 1,905 Farms/Farmers, and validate 1,652, a move that received commensurate compensation from the Government

Garba Danlami Darius received 413,000 naira in the first trench of payment and will be getting more, when the second tranche starts, he would be going home with another 413,000 thousand at the end of the second tranche

making him one of the highest paid enumerators so far in the Agricultural for Food  and Jobs  Plan (AFJP)

The Agricultural for Food  and Jobs  Plan (AFJP) is a joint project of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) in conjunction with the Project for Agricultural Coordination and Planning (PACE), which aims to increase locally grown food supply, create employment opportunities in the agriculture sector and  export  surplus using  existing agreements  is Paying its enumerators handsomely

And Garba Danlami Darus was one of the beneficiaries who worked hard and was rewarded handsomely

“As an N-agro Volunteer, I knew this job will be an advantage to me, so I took it with all zeal and courage, I went to villages in Paiko, Shango,Tunga Goro, Chanchaga, Maitumbi just to get farmers” Garba Added

“ I came from a family, whose occupation is farming, capturing farmers and farms is a job i consider Hobby” Garba Continued

Garba Darius has been Celebrated by Project for Agricultural Coordination and Planning (PACE), for using the ODK App as instructed

Being a Batch A volunteer with a PAD, his work was made easy and simple, he is even determined to survey and captures more as the dry season farming ensued

Meanwhile, other enumerators have confirmed their pay in the first trench of payment dished out last year, a good number received decent sums based on the validated farms and farmers captured
