Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa (ASR Africa) $100M Endowment Fund 2021: One of Nigeria’s richest Men, Industrialists, and Sponsors launches the ABDUL SAMAD RABIU AFRICA INITIATIVE (ASR AFRICA) with an endowment fund of $100M. The programme is commencing this year 2021 and will cover six (6) Federal Universities in all the six geo-political zones of Nigeria
The six universities in the Six zones will be given the Sum of One Billion Naira for infrastructural upgrading and development
The universities benefitting from the first phase include:
- University of Benin, ( South South)
- University of Ilorin, ( North Central)
- University of Ibadan. ( South West)
- Ahmadu Bello University (North West)
- University of Maiduguri ( North East)
- University of Nigeria (South East)
Rabiu, who is the Founder and Chairman of BUA Group, one of Africa’s largest Foods, Mining, Infrastructure and Manufacturing Conglomerates is also the sixth richest black person in the world according to the latest Forbes rankings

These grants will be directed towards projects that will be delivered by the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative for the project duration.”
